The future of money -- Vlp (talk) 08:14, 30 December 2014 (PST)

Hi Robin,

thank you very much for the continuous production of great radio shows provoking both thought and action!

It has been about a year that I listened to this particular episode, but I remember some of the advice you gave in it, as documented on Diaspora (my link to the show has the title "'speak to your neighbours' surely is a good advice").

Money, i.e. the financial system, has been a big topic for me since 2010. I stumbled upon Silvio Gesell's theory early on in my explorations and have been a follower since. Charles Eisenstein, whose great book you read out completely on the show, also dedicated a chapter to his system: Freiwirtschaft, 'free economy' through 'free land' and 'free money'. The monetary reform no longer seems utopian now, with the EZB and Swiss national bank already charging 'negative interest' (Demurrage) for banks' accounts... but free and equal access to land and resources for everyone are still far from being the general rule.

I'd like to hear more on land and money. Some of my thoughts on the topic, really last updated in 2012 though, are on Vlado World-Wide.

Regards, Vlado
