Download Hour1 Download Hour2 Many people think that there are no political prisoners in the Unites States. In fact, there is a long history of use of the judicial system as a weapon against political dissenters. And dissenters who cross the line into various kinds of militant action consistently receive harsher sentences than persons committing the same actions for non-political reasons. This week we hear from two women, Linda Evans and Susan Rosenberg, who each spent 16 years in prison for their politically motivated acts.
Susan Rosenberg should not be confused with the Rosenbergs imprisoned and killed by the US government as described in episode 557.
