Our first hour starts with Colin Campbell starts our first hour by talking about "The End of the First Half of The Age of Oil", giving a first introduction to Peak Oil. He starts by talking about the geological pattern, then the bell-shaped depletion curve and the consequences of lower oil availability. Richard Heinberg looks at patterns of human energy use and suggests that the most likely date for Peak Oil will be 2007. After hearing a new study confirming benefits of organic farming, our show concludes with Lyn Gerry's interview of David Pimentel about the growth of organic farming in US.
